No, we do offer Telehealth treatments as part of our services.

We recommend that you wear comfortable loose clothing to your treatment sessions. Something that allows you to expose the area of concern easily.

We offer Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Pilates, Kinesiology Taping as well as complementary products to assist with your overall therapy such as therapeutic pillows, lacrosse balls and fitness bands to name a few.

No, physiotherapists are primary health care providers who are able to diagnose your condition. A referral is not necessary for your Physiotherapist to assess and treat you. However, many insurance companies still ask for a physician’s referral in order for your physiotherapy costs to be covered by your plan. Please check with your insurer or agent to ask if they require a Doctor’s referral.

We treat a wide variety of conditions that deal with injury or strain to muscle, joints and ligaments. Some specific condition are pain or reduced mobility in the neck, back, shoulder, hips, knees and ankle. We also assist with post surgical rehab and sporting or repetitive strain injuries. Your first session will consists of an assessment where we get to understand your condition in your words. This is followed by a movement assessment to determine the affect on function. We listen to your goals (things you want to be able to do) and what would make therapy a success for you. We then sit with you to design a plan of care to achieve your goals.

The number of sessions needed will vary depending on the condition and the stage of healing you are at at the time of the consultation. On average most conditions can be resolved in approximately 12 sessions. This allows for pain reduction and strengthening to increase your confidence so that you have ‘thoughtless fearless movement’ at the end of the plan of care. In addition to the achievement of your dream outcome.

Not all therapy is painful. It depends on your condition. Any pain that is felt during the session should resolve once the session is over in a couple of hours. You will then notice less discomfort in subsequent sessions as your treatment progresses.

Absolutely. We are here to help you resolve your pain. If you experience an increase in symptoms eg. pain that is when you should definitely be coming to see us.

We are an evidenced based practice that incorporates Pilates. We use hands on or manual therapy techniques along with therapeutic exercise to help with mobility and strength. We also use electrotherapy eg. ultrasound, interferential or transcutaneous nerve stimulation (TENS). Acupuncture is also a modality which we can use along with fire cupping. In addition, we have a massage therapist on staff as well.

Definitely. Physiotherapy can manage the pain while improving mobility and function. We can use therapeutic exercise to assist with strengthening the area in order to improve function.

No. We can prescribe plans to care to assist with prevention. eg improving movement function to decrease risk of injury.

Matwork Pilates is a system of exercises done on a mat and developed by Joseph Pilates. It helps with mind-body connection as well as mobility coordination and strength.

Reformer Pilates utlizes the system of Pilates exercises using a piece of equipment called the Reformer. It is designed to be used in conjunction with matwork Pilates classes. The Reformer can offer more resistance for strengthening and helps with practice of Pilates exercises.

We offer a range of massage options and different lengths of massages. Each massage has a description on the website and allows you to choose the massage based on your goals. At Physiocare we also do therapeutic massages. If you have an injury and you shoose to treat it with massge therapy our therapist will guide you with your choice.

Yes we do accept medical insurance as listed below on our website page. Our patients can also swipe using their Sagicor cards.
Please note that the amount of the service covered depends on the type of medical plan you have with your insurance company. In addition, most plans require you to satisfy a deductible prior to them making payment.

You may book an appointment by calling or Whatsapping our office during normal opening hours. Alternatively you may schedule online via the ‘BOOK NOW’ button 24 hours a day.

We value your time and we hope you value ours. If something comes up and you need to change your appointment time with us please do so 24 hours in advance or at the time of your appointment confirmation which is usually the day before the service.
Once we are given 24 hours or more notice your appointment can be rescheduled without penalty.
However, cancellation on the same day or after the confirmation has been made will attract a fee of $50.
If you cancel your appointments repeatedly with short notice you would be require to prepay for your appointment in order to secure another booking with us.
Our policies are in place to ensure that you get the best possible care and that other patients are not disadvantaged. Please note that our sessions are one on one which means your appointment time is specifically blocked off for you.

Yes. To get maximum results we like to work with you leading up to the surgery so that we can maximise the benefits and improvements following surgical intervention.
Our policy is to work with your surgeon to ensure that we follow their surgical protocols since every surgeon and every surgery may have it own specific protocols.

Yes. Since we work with many women over 40 years old we are used to working with women who may be in peri or in menopause. We also work with individuals who have osteopenia and osteoporosis.

Acupuncture is the use sterile needles inserted into specific areas of the body to assist with various conditions. We use it as an adjunct to physiotherapy to assist with the resolution of migraines, joint pain and even to assist with increasing mobility.

Matwork Pilates as the name suggest is Pilates done on a mat and utilise small props during the session. Reformer Pilates will encompass some of the movements and all the Principles of Pilates while using a piece of Pilates equipment called the Reformer.
The Reformer is a nice way to add resistance to Pilates and complements matwork well.

No. No prior experience is needed in our Pilates classes as all our classes are multi-level and beginner friendly.
Our instructors meet you are where you are at an are able to make modifications due to your level of fitness or injury.

Yes. Pilares is a good form of exercise when you have an injury or chronic condition. You will just need to inform us before hand so that we can assist you with the best class to attend for your injury or condition.

We have free parking available at both our clinic and studio. At the clinic you may park to the left of the clinic or behind the clinic itself. Please note that parking in the driveway is discouraged since it is an active driveway.
For use of the Pilates Studio you may either park at the clinic and walk across to the Meford complex. Alternatively there is ample parking at the Medford Complex for the Pilates studio.
