Unlocking Half Marathon Speed: The Three Essentials for Endurance
To build the endurance needed to run a half marathon as fast as you can, you need three (3) things; Clear and wide piping (Capillaries & Blood Vessels), a powerful Pump (Heart & Lungs) and the best fuel (Nutrition & Hydration).
1. Piping.
To build great PIPING you need LONG SLOW RUNS to assist in capillary and blood vessel development.
2. Pump.
To build a great PUMP with a powerful push you need INTERVAL TRAINING - usually done in bouts at higher intensities.
3. Fuel
To bring it all together you need the best FUEL available to you. Usually found in WHOLE FOODS.
Some Dos and Donβts
Donβt skip your long runs or interval work
Do keep 80% of your runs easy as to not wear out the parts of your machine.
DONT EAT JUNK !!
TIP: If you want to run long and fast you must train consistently at maintainable intensities/paces (easy/moderate).
